G2 Esports beat Fnatic in the League of Legends LEC Summer 2020 Final. The match ended with a score of 3: 0.

In addition to the € 80,000 cash reward, which went to the winner,teams fought for the best seeding in the group stage of the Worlds 2020.

On August 1, Riot Games announced that the 2020 World Championship will take place offline despite the coronavirus pandemic.
The first matches of the World Championship will kick off on September 25, with the tournament winner being determined in the final on October 31.

LEC Summer ran from June 12 to September 6. Ten teams competed for a prize fund of € 200,000 and four places in the World Championship.
